Yatseniuk demands that regions join energy efficiency programs
Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has demanded that local authorities contribute to the funding of energy efficiency and preservation programs.
"I demand that every territory participates in funding programs, buying heaters and heating isolation of apartments," he said at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on energy efficiency on Friday.
According to Yatseniuk, administrative reform caused the incomes of local budgets to grow by 40% and the state provided the procedure for credits to be taken from Oschadbank to compensate interest rates under energy efficiency programs.
"All the instruments are in your hands," he added.
