Scientific, technological parks of Ukraine unite in association led by ex-head of state investment agency

The major part of Ukrainian scientific and technological parks have united into the National Association of Scientific and Technological Parks and other Innovation Organizations of Ukraine on June 25, the new organization said in a report.

The association said that the initiator of its creation was NGO International Investment Promotion Fund, which took active part in the creation of National Depository of Ukraine (NDU), and the idea was supported by the Education and Science Ministry and the National Academy of Science of Ukraine (NASU).

In addition, ICU investment group is ready to support the operation of the association.

Viktor Ivchenko was elected head of the new association. From late 2010 to February 2015 he was deputy head of the State Agency for Science, Innovation and Informtization, from March 2010 to late 2010 he was deputy education and science minister. In 2005-2009, he headed the State Agency for Investment and Innovation and in 1996-2004 he was a member of the National Commission for Securities and the Stock Market, as well as being a top manager of NDU.
