New Ukrgazvydobuvannia head to attract large international partner to develop fields
The new head of PJSC Ukrgazvydobuvannia, Oleh Prokhorenko, believes it is necessary to attract a large international partner to the development of the company's fields.
He unveiled the plan while he was being introduced to Ukrgazvydobuvannia staff in Kyiv.
"The strategic priority is important – this is the involvement of a large international partner in the development of deposits," he said
Prokhorenko added that the company also needs to deal with the future of the Ukrburgaz drilling unit and Shebelynka gas processing plant.
According to him, global experience shows that the work of such units as part of a mining company is not effective.
"Now I have no answer whether it will be privatization or sale or an IPO," he said.
According to Prokhorenko, the key priority for Ukrgazvydobuvannia is the stabilization of gas production in Ukraine.
