Cabinet allocates UAH 27 mln to section of Lviv-Krakovets concession highway
The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated UAH 26.614 million to the M-10 Lviv-Krakovets road of national importance, specifically the 69 + 926 km – 70 + 446 km ( 0.52 km) section, for 2015.
The decision is stipulated in government order No. 621-r of June 17, 2015 on approving the list of public roads of national importance in 2015 and the volume of budget funds to finance them.
According to the order, out of the mentioned sum, UAH 115,000 will be spent on design and survey works.
The Infrastructure Ministry of Ukraine told Interfax-Ukraine that this section of the road will constitute an approach from the Polish border to the Lviv-Krakovets highway to be built on a concession basis.
As reported, the construction and operation of the Lviv-Krakovets road with a length of 84.4 km is a pilot concession project in Ukraine. The degree of economic efficiency from its implementation should identify the level of potential investors' interest and the feasibility of implementing concession projects in the country.
