Ukraine imports 15,000-20,000 tonnes of coal from the occupied areas of Luhansk and Donetsk regions every day, Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Volodymyr Demchyshyn has said.
"This is between 15,000 and 20,000 tonnes of coal every day. Every day the amount is different," he said at a press conference in Kyiv.
The minister said the price of coal is UAH 1,100 per tonne.
According to Demchyshyn, coal is purchased exclusively from companies re-registered in territory controlled by the Ukrainian government.
