Ukroboronprom prepares new batch of modernized T-64B tanks to army
State enterprise Kharkiv Plant of Armor Tanks, part of Ukroboronprom State Concern, has repaired and modernized a new batch of T-64 tanks to the T-64B (B1) model under an order of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine, the press service of the concern has reported.
The press service said the tanks have the Kontakt active protection system.
"All the tanks were tested after the modernization and will be shipped to the customer soon. The repaired tanks will be sent to the Anti Terrorist Operation (ATO) zone in eastern Ukraine," reads the report.
Kharkiv Plant of Armor Tanks also repairs T-80 tanks, the press service said.
The concern said that since early 2015, and as of the first ten days of June, Ukroboronprom has transferred 797 military equipment units to the Ukrainian military.
