Ukraine views Eurobond debt to Russia as any other debt – Finance Minister Jaresko
Ukraine continues to treat its $3-billion Eurobonds issued at the end of 2013 and bought by Russia's Wellbeing Fund as any other Eurobond debt, Ukrainian Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko has said.
"We recognize this debt as any other Eurobond debt," she told a Swedish-Ukrainian business forum in Kyiv on Tuesday.
Ukraine wants to restructure its Eurobond debt in order to be able to achieve three parameters set by its program with the International Monetary Fund that permit a rescheduling of the repayment deadline, as well as a reduction of both the principal debt and its interests, Jaresko said.
