Gazprom: Donbas is part of Ukraine, Naftogaz must pay for gas supplies

Naftogaz Ukrainy should pay for gas supplies to eastern Ukraine, Gazprom Deputy CEO Alexander Medvedev said.

"We assume that this contract, so long as the DPR and LPR are locating within Ukraine, should be paid by the contract holder. This is a region that is part of Ukraine, where the gas is being consumed. Who should pay? Here it is not even a question of business logic, this is down-to-earth logic. Such announcements are made, that we won't pay pensions," he said.
