Ukrainian Energy Ministry announces preliminary agreement to extend gas 'winter package'

The Ukrainian-Russian-EU working group for trilateral gas consultations reached certain agreements in Brussels last week to extend the winter package, Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Minister Volodymyr Demchyshyn said.

"There are certain agreements in regard to the discount, the formula for the price, financing, that is, for the European Commission to support us in seeking financing in order to ensure the needed volumes in storage at the beginning of the heating season," Demchyshyn said at a press conference in Kyiv on Monday.
