Ukraine resumes gas imports from Hungary on June 4- Ukrtransgaz
Ukraine on June 4 resumed natural gas imports from Hungary.
According to the press service of PJSC Ukrtransgaz, the country received 2.8 million cubic meters of gas from Hungary on June 4.
Ukraine currently receives 27 million cubic meters of gas per day through the Slovak gas corridor.
The press service specified that since the beginning of the year the country has imported 5.7 billion cubic meters of natural gas from Europe, which is 42% more than from Russia.
As reported, the key suppliers of gas to Ukraine from Europe are RWE, Statoil, GDF Suez, E.ON, Royal Dutch Shell, and TrailStone.
Ukrtransgaz, 100% owned by Naftogaz Ukrainy, operates a system of trunk gas pipelines and 12 underground gas storage facilities in Ukraine.
