WOG estimates total decline in fuel sales in Ukraine at 30%
The overall decline in fuel sales in the Ukrainian market in January-March 2015 is about 30%, WOG CEO Serhiy Koretsky has said.
"A two-fold fall (as it was announced by businessman Ihor Kolomoisky regarding Ukrnafta fuel stations) is not true, I do not know where these figures are from... We have a decline in sales of about 20% compared to last year, we estimate the general decline in the market at 30%," he told Interfax-Ukraine.
Koretsky noted that in the current circumstances WOG decided to postpone a number of projects to expand the network and focused on developing the non-fuel segment (shops, coffee machines at fuel filling stations). WOG is also actively increasing the number of gas filling stations at its facilities.
"For two years we doubled the number of gas filling units. Today we have almost 300 gas units and their number is still growing," he said.
As reported, Kolomoisky previously said that fuel sales through Ukrnafta fuel filling stations halved from 5,000 tonnes to 2,500 tonnes per day.
