Jaresko hopes to complete talks with creditors prior to IMF decision on second tranche
Ukraine's Minister of Finance Natalie Jaresko hopes to successfully complete negotiations with creditors on foreign debt restructuring prior to the International Monetary Fund's (IMF) decision on the issue of a second tranche.
"We will manage, everything will be fine. We will manage to complete negotiations on the first revision before the issue of the second tranche," Jaresko said during a lecture at the University of Banking of the National Bank of Ukraine.
Jaresko said that among the unfinished preliminary measures are the Verkhovna Rada's adoption of three draft laws which, as Jaresko expects, will occur this week.
She also noted that the second tranche of the IMF loan is expected to amount to $1.7 billion.
