Court leaves PGO's claim on declaring Zakarpattiaoblenergo privatization invalid unheard
The business court of Kyiv has closed without hearing the claim of the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) on declaring the conditions and results of the privatization of 50% of shares in public joint-stock company Zakarpattiaoblenergo as invalid.
The ruling of May 19 was published in the state ruling register.
According to the document, the claim was left without hearing as the PGO did not present proof that the state could have received a better price when it sold shares in Zakarpattiaoblenergo, and proof of causing damage to the state during the privatization of the company.
As reported, Energy Ukraine TV LLC acquired 50% of the shares in Zakarpattiaoblenergo for UAH 140.7 million. Ukrainian media affiliated the company includes the group belonging to Serhiy Liovochkin.
