Intesa Sanpaolo terminates agreement on sale of Pravex-Bank with Centragas Holding
Intesa Sanpaolo S.p.A. has terminated an agreement on the sale of 100% in Ukrainian subsidiary bank - Pravex-Bank – with Centragas Holding Gmbh, Pravex-Bank has said on its website.
"The agreement signed on January 23, 2014 was terminated, as the bank has not received a permit to finalize the deal from supervision agencies," the company said.
Centragas Holding AG is affiliated with Group DF that belongs to Dmytro Firtash.
Pravex-Bank was founded in 1992. Its only shareholder as of Arpil 2015 was Intesa Sanpaolo S.p.A.
The bank ranked 32nd among 133 operating banks as of April 1, 2015, in terms of total assets worth UAH 5.335 billion, according to the National Bank of Ukraine.
