Loss of Ukrainian enterprises comes to UAH 385.9 bln in Q1, 2015 - statistics

Ukrainian businesses and organizations in January-March 2015 saw pretax loss from ordinary activities worth UAH 385.935 billion, whereas in January-March 2014 losses of enterprises stood at UAH 124.629 million, the State Statistics Service has reported.

According to the service, in January-March 2015 some 53.4% of enterprises in the country saw profit in the amount of UAH 122.912 billion, which is 21.6% more than in the same period in 2014.

At the same time, due to the sharp hryvnia devaluation another segment of enterprises saw losses. Their losses in the first quarter of 2015 more than doubled compared to the first quarter of 2014, to UAH 508.847 billion.
