Yatseniuk asks competition agency head to demonopolize pharmaceutical market
Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has said that the demonopolization of the drug market along with the demonopolization of the energy sector is the two key priorities for the new top managers of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.
"The second block concerns collusions on the pharmaceutical market, and I understand that this is not your competence, but jointly with the State Service for Medicinal Products and Health Ministry this is the issue of quality of drugs and medical products," he said while presenting the new head of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, Yuriy Terentyev, on Monday.
Yatseniuk added that pharmaceutical companies set prices for medical products which are too high as a result of collusion.
