Ukrenergo sells access to 545 MW of Burshtyn Island electricity for UAH 33,000 to export in June
National energy company Ukrenergo, at an auction held on May 20, sold access to 545 MW of electricity for export from June 1 to June 30, 2015 from Burshtyn Island for UAH 33,000.
According to a report on the company's website, DTEK Trading LLC bought all the lots. The total starting price of the lots was UAH 22,000.
As reported, Ukraine cut electricity exports by 18.4% year-on-year in 2014 to 8.053 billion kilowatt-hours. Electricity exports from the Burshtyn Energy Island to Hungary, Slovakia and Romania fell 3.2% to 4.235 million kWh.
