According to the State Statistics Service, only Russian nuclear fuel was bought for Ukrainian nuclear power plants in the first quarter of this year, which was delivered in March.
As reported, in 2014 Ukraine bought fresh nuclear fuel for a total of $628.176 million, in particular from Russia – worth $588.831 million, Sweden - $39.345 million.
The operator of the all four operating nuclear power plants in Ukraine is Energoatom state enterprise, which acquires fresh nuclear fuel under contracts with TVEL (Russia) and Westinghouse Electric Sweden AB (Sweden).
