Government allocates UAH 1.9 bln as subventions for discounted public transportation – Yatseniuk
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated UAH 1.9 billion of subventions for discounted public transportation fares which the Finance Ministry will provide, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has said.
"Ukraine's government allocated UAH 1.9 billion as subventions for discounted fares for public transportation. And I'm asking the regions to provide and use discounted fares for public transportation. Pensioners, the disabled and other discounted categories of people now have the right for discounted fares for public transport," Yatseniuk wrote on Facebook on Wednesday after a meeting of the government.
He said that the Finance Ministry will provide the relevant financing.
"Funds are on their way to the regions, and I'm asking the regions to take care of their use and discounted fares," Yatseniuk added.
