Slovak president urges support for Ukraine's admission into EU
Slovakia supports Ukraine's European prospects and its membership in the European Union, Slovak President Andrej Kiska said.
Speaking at a press conference held jointly with the Ukrainian president in Kyiv on Wednesday he said that he had told Petro Poroshenko at the Visegrad Group summit that what is happening in Donbas concerns not only Ukraine. "It concerns us as well, our future, the future of the whole of Europe. And it will be this message that I will take to the summit in Riga, the Eastern Partnership summit, and I will talk about Ukraine's prospects, Europe's prospects and the European prospects of Ukrainians. Slovakia supports the EU expansion process. Ukraine is interested in becoming an EU member and will be able to meet all technical requirements being set," Kiska said.
