Reverse gas flow to be in effect, Slovakia ready to support Ukraine – President Kiska

Reverse gas flows that Slovakia has organized for Ukraine are functioning and Bratislava is ready to support Kyiv in this issue, Slovakia's president, Andrej Kiska, said.

"Slovakia, as a country, started to supply gas in reverse to Ukraine and I spoke about this today with Mr. Poroshenko, who rated this very highly, because this was a lot of help for Ukraine. This reverse flow is completely ready…The reverse flow will be in effect and we are ready to support Ukraine in this entirely," Kiska said at a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in Kyiv.

As for the energy security of Ukraine and the EU, these issues will be resolved jointly, Kiska said.
