Govt asks for authorization to impose moratorium on payments to foreign commercial creditors
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on Tuesday will submit a draft law to the Ukrainian parliament asking for authorization to impose a moratorium on payments to foreign commercial creditors to protect national interests.
The government told Interfax-Ukraine that this concerns foreign commercial debt which the government previously defined for the negotiations on their restructuring with the creditors, although it does not include the liabilities of Oschadbank, Ukreximbank and Ukrzaliznytsia.
The cabinet said that they hope that the draft law will be passed by the parliament soon.
