Hearings in E.ON lawsuit against Gazprom to start in Aug, ruling expected by late Oct
An arbitration court in Stockholm will begin hearings in August in a lawsuit against Gazprom filed by German energy group E.ON, the Russian gas giant said in its quarterly report.
LLC Gazprom Export received notification on April 30 about an ad hoc arbitration proceeding initiated by E.ON Global Commodities SE in Stockholm with a request to review contract prices for gas supplies.
E.ON is demanding a revision of contract terms backdated to October 30, 2013, a source at Gazprom told Interfax.
The parties are now selecting the chairman of the arbitration tribunal. Hearings in the case are scheduled to begin on August 10, Gazprom said.
A ruling in the case should be issued by October 30, a source at Gazprom said.
