Up to UAH 2 bln to be spent on farmland stocktaking before opening of market – minister
Before the farmland market is opened up a complete stocktaking that could cost up to UAH 2 billion is to be conducted, Agricultural Policy and Food Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Pavlenko has said.
"For example, for farmland stocktaking the preliminary budget is to be up to UAH 2 billion. There are many laws that we want to pass," he told Interfax-Ukraine when commenting on the prospects of lifting the moratorium on the sale of farmland.
The funds are not foreseen in the national budget for 2015.
"We should look for donors or consider options [allocating funds] from the budget," he said.
