Klimkin, Sefcovic discuss integration of Ukraine's gas transportation network into Europe
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin and Vice President of European Commission Maros Sefcovic have discussed the prospects of EU-Ukraine cooperation in energy sector.
"At the meeting there was an exchange of opinions on further support and boosting of solidarity in the EU-Ukrainian relations in the energy sector. Particular attention was paid to the issues of involving Ukraine in creation of the Energy community, and integration of Ukraine's gas transportation system into the European network of gas storage and transmission," the Foreign Ministry's press service reported.
In addition, the parties discussed relevant issues of Russian gas supplies to Ukraine and its transit to consumers in Europe, due to the preparation for another round of trilateral gas consultation in the Ukraine-EU-Russia format.
