World Bank revises Ukraine's GDP decline forecast for 2015 to 7.5%
Ukraine's GDP in 2015 will decline by 7.5% against a 6.8% decline in 2014, World Bank Director for Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine Qimiao Fan said in Kyiv on Wednesday.
As was reported, in October 2014, the World Bank projected that Ukraine's GDP would decline by 1% in 2015 and by 8% in 2014. In January 2015, the forecasts were revised by the World Bank to 2.3% and 8.2% respectively.
The World Economic Outlook published in the middle of April 2015 by meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, Ukraine's GDP decline in 2015 was projected at 5.5%. In 2016, it was forecast Ukraine would see a 2% increase in its GDP.
The National Bank of Ukraine predicts a 7.5% decline in Ukraine's GDP in 2015.
