IMF head Lagarde welcomes progress made in realizing EFF by Ukraine
Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Christine Lagarde has welcomed the progress of economic reforms in Ukraine achieved as part of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) supported by the IMF.
According to an IMF report, this was discussed at a meeting between Lagarde and Ukrainian Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko, National Bank of Ukraine Governor Valeriya Gontareva, Economic Development and Trade Minister Aivaras Abromavicius, and other members of the Ukrainian delegation to the IMF, which was held on Sunday.
The participants of the meeting pointed out the importance of continuing key political measures made by the authorities and further external support, including achieving an agreement with private creditors on the debt swap, the IMF said.
