Ukrainian state oil and gas company Naftogaz has transferred another $20 million to Russia's Gazprom as advance payment for natural gas, Gazprom spokesman Sergei Kupriyanov told Interfax on Saturday.
This brings the total advance payments for April made by Naftogaz to $70 million. With the contractual price of $247.18 per 1,000 cubic meters of gas, this sum can buy 283.2 million cubic meters.
Between April 1 and 16, Naftogaz received 140 million cubic meters from Gazprom to a total of $34.5 million, according to Ukrtransgaz.
