Ukraine to abandon electricity imports in 2015 –Energy Ministry
In the near future, Ukraine's Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry aims to abandon electricity imports, which were launched late last year from Russia due to insufficient power in the country, Deputy Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Oleksandr Svetelyk has said.
He told reporters in Kyiv that the draft forecast balance of electricity for the current year, developed by the ministry, does not foresee electricity imports.
At the same time, Svetelyk did not rule out that in case of force majeure, electricity imports would be carried out.
