Tymoshenko promises tax breaks for farmers

Ukrainian Premier Yulia Tymoshenko has promised that while she is in power, a preferential taxation system for farmers will be in effect in the country.

"While I am in power, the preferential taxation system for the agricultural sector will be retained," Tymoshenko said at ceremony dedicated to Farmer's Day in Kyiv on Wednesday.

Tymoshenko said she was grateful to farmers for the fact that amid the economic crisis, the agricultural sector had not reduced production, but actually increased it.
