Cabinet increases minimum price of beet sugar by 36.7% for 2015/16 agri-year
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has increased the minimum price of beet sugar for the 2015/16 agricultural year (September – August) by 36.7% compared to the current year, to UAH 6,454.73 per tonne (value added tax not included).
According to cabinet resolution No. 189 of April 8, the minimum price of sugar beet next season will be 29.8% higher – UAH 445.87 per tonne (VAT not included).
The document also sets the quota for sugar production to supply to the domestic market (quota A): it was reduced to UAH 1.72 million tonnes from 1.811 million tonnes in 2014/15 agri-year.
As reported, the minimum price of sugar for the 2014/15 agri-year was increased by 1% compared to the previous season, to UAH 4,722.68 per tonne (VAT not included) and the price of sugar beet was increased by 1.6%, to UAH 343.55 per tonne.
Quota A totaled 1.811 million tonnes compared, to 1.826 million tonnes in the previous agri-year.
