Delayed gas payments in ATO zone since September 2014 worth UAH 9 bln – energy minister
From September 2014 to March 2015 Ukraine supplied 1.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas to the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone in eastern Ukraine, however no payment for the gas has been received, Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Minister Volodymyr Demchyshyn has said.
"Over the period since September 2014 to March 2015, about 1.5 billion of gas was supplied to the ATO zone. The average price is about UAH 6,000 [per 1,000 cubic meters of gas], the total sum [of gas shipments to the ATO zone] is about UAH 9 billion," he said in parliament on Friday.
"Supplies have been reduced at the moment, but the issue is to be resolved both with gas and electricity supplies," he said.
