Naftogaz imports gas from EU at average of $304 per 1,000 cubic meters in Q1 2015
National joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy imported gas from the European Union at an average price of $304 per 1,000 cubic meters in the first quarter of 2015, according to a presentation exhibited by the company at a meeting of the National Reform Council held on March 30.
According to the presentation, during this period Ukraine bought gas from Russia's Gazprom (under the conditions of the "winter" package) at $337 per 1,000 cubic meters.
In Q4 2014 the average price of gas from the EU was $353 per 1,000 cubic meters, and gas from Russia was $385 per 1,000 cubic meters.
In Q3 2014, Naftogaz imported gas from the EU at an average price of $353 per 1,000 cubic meters, and in Q2 2014 – at $369 per 1,000 cubic meters.
As reported, Naftogaz Ukrainy Head Andriy Kobolev believes that the capacity of EU gas imports should be expanded.
