Some UAH 24.5 billion to be allocated for state subsidies, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk said on 1+1 television on Sunday.
"We have UAH 24.5 billion for subsidies," Yatseniuk said.
He said that 1.2 million families currently receive subsidies and that after the increase of the tariffs the number of families could grow to 3 million.
"We've calculated that we have enough money to pay subsidies to 15 million citizens," Yatseniuk said.
He said that if there is a lack of money the government will find the required funds.
