Naftogaz, Ukrnafta could settle liabilities for 10.1 bcm of gas during talks – Naftogaz head
National joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy and public joint-stock company Ukrnafta could find a compromise on the liabilities for 10.1 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas supplied in 2006-2011, Naftogaz Ukrainy Head Andriy Kobolev announced on Fifth TV Channel.
"The subject of the dispute is over 10 bcm of gas which Naftogaz supplied to Ukrainian households. Ukrnafta will challenge the price which the NCER [the National Commission of Ukraine for Energy, Housing and Utilities Services Regulation] demanded to set for Ukrnafta's gas to be sent to Naftogaz… The dispute exists and the final decision on it could be reached through negotiations, which would be correct and right, in my opinion," he said.
Kobolev said that if the dispute is not resolved during the negotiations it will go to court.
