European Commission to give further aid worth EUR 250 mln to Ukraine
The European Commission has welcomed the decision of the Council of the European Union regarding the third package of macro-financial assistance (MFA) to Ukraine worth EUR 1.8 billion, which was approved on March 31.
According to the Commission's press service, the Commission also decided to disburse a final tranche of EUR 250 million under MFA 1, which is expected to take place in April.
During 2014, the Commission disbursed EUR 1.36 billion in support of Ukraine under existing MFA programs.
The third program worth EUR 1.8 billion will be paid out in medium-term loans in 2015 (EUR 1.2 billion) and 2016 (EUR 600 million).
