Hroisman and World Bank Country Director discuss bills needed for further cooperation
Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Hroisman and World Bank Country Director for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova Qimiao Fan discussed the bills that the parliament needs to adopt for further cooperation of Ukraine and the World Bank.
"Today [I] have met with World Bank Country Director for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova Qimiao Fan. [We] discussed the bills that the Word Bank supports and the adoption of which [the World Bank] considers a pre-condition for the decision to allocate additional recourses for Ukraine's development and reforms," Hroisman wrote on Facebook on Monday.
According to him, these include "decisions that will allow us to increase the efficiency of using the attracted funds." Hroisman said that the World Bank suggested that the Counting Chamber have a right to control both expenses and income of the state budget. "[We] agreed that in the future we'd work together on taking such views into consideration in our laws," Hroisman said.
