PJSC Kriukov Car Building Works (KCBW, Poltava region) in 2014 saw a net loss of UAH 357.57 million, whereas in 2013 its net profit was UAH 339.38 million.
According to the announcement of a general shareholders' meeting scheduled for April 23, the plant's current liabilities over the past year fell by 3.2 times, to UAH 404.8 million, and long-term liabilities increased by 69.2%, to UAH 505.28 million.
According to the announcement, KCBW's assets for the year fell by 23%, to UAH 3.353 billion, while long-term debtor indebtedness to the budget remained unchanged at UAH 594.85 million. Total debtor indebtedness increased by 9.3%, to UAH 780.6 million.
Net worth at the beginning of this year amounted to UAH 2.442 billion.
As of January 1, 2015 the company employed 6,846 people - 13% or 1,019 people less than a year earlier.
Board chairman Anatoliy Shabala said that the plant's unprofitable operation was due to non-refunded VAT and the cancellation of KCBW's product certification in Russia.
