Rada adopts law on immediate reduction of JSC quorum
The Verkhovna Rada has approved government bill No. 2273, which foresees the reduction of the quorum for holding shareholders' meetings to 50% plus one share.
The bill will now take effect immediately, not on January 1, 2016 as was previously foreseen.
A total of 275 MPs voted in favor.
One of the key enterprises which will be affected by the bill is PJSC Ukrnafta; its minority shareholders have repeatedly blocked the holding of general meetings, management changes, and dividend payments.
