Ukroboronprom sends APC to National Guard of Ukraine

Ukroboronprom state concern has handed over to the National Guard of Ukraine a batch of repaired BTR-70 armored personnel carriers (APC), which were mothballed at a base in Artemivsk, Donetsk region, Ukroboronprom's press service has reported.

State enterprise 45 Experimental Mechanical Plant (Vinnytsia) overhauled the engines and the propulsion systems of the APCs, which were also equipped with slat armor which can withstand grenade launcher hits, the concern said.

The APCs were sent to the Yavoriv military training ground in Lviv region for tests.

The concern said that Vinnytsia plant's production capacity allows it to repair up to 70-80 APCs a year.
