Gazprom still violating terms of Winter Package - Naftogaz

Gazprom is continuing in March to violate the terms of the "winter package" for shipments of Russian gas to Ukraine, the press service of Ukraine's national oil and gas company Naftogaz Ukrainy said on Monday.

"In February, the agreement was violated by the Russian side. Gas for which we had paid in advance was under-supplied last month. The deal is continuing to be violated this month. This violation needs to be counterbalanced by an increase in gas deliveries to Ukraine from the EU. The technical capacity to significantly increase supplies exists today through the interconnector between Ukraine and Slovakia," Naftogaz Ukrainy CEO Andriy Kobolev is quoted as saying.

"The Winter Package for Russian gas supplies to Ukraine, which was signed by representatives of Ukraine, Russia and the EU last October, is a compromise for both sides. We have fulfilled our side of the deal entirely," he added.
