EU provides EUR 1.5 mln of aid to displaced persons in Dnipropetrovsk region
The EU is allocating EUR 1.5 million to Dnipropetrovsk region to provide aid to displaced persons from Crimea and Donbas, the press service of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Administration has reported.
The agreement between the EU and Dnipropetrovsk Regional Administration was signed on Thursday.
The funds will be used to repair, restore and furnish 15 facilities in seven towns in Dnipropetrovsk region. Over 2,000 of most vulnerable persons - women, children and the elderly – will be accommodated there between one and a half to two months.
The project will be realized by the Dopomoha Dnipra charitable foundation with the support of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Administration.
Over 87,000 displaced persons from Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions currently live in Dnipropetrovsk region.
