Nadra Ukrainy, Baker Hughes discuss cooperation

Board Chairman of national joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy Yaroslav Klymovych and Director of Baker Hughes for Eastern Europe Lukasz Ostrowski on February 24 discussed cooperation in oil and gas extraction, the press service of the Ukrainian company has reported.

Representatives of Baker Hughes initiated the meeting due to the expansion of its operations in Eastern Europe.

According to the report, a representative of Baker Hughes said that the company is ready to jointly develop plans on possible cooperation with Ukrainian extracting companies on introducing exploration, drilling and fossil fuel transportation technologies

Klymovych said that the proposal on cooperation will be discussed at the state level.

"The top priority task for us is the development of the Ukrainian energy market, and this partnership would be able to promote the fulfillment of the task," he said.

As reported, in February 2015 Nadra Ukrainy signed a memorandum of cooperation in exploration drilling with Poland's EXALO Drilling S.A.

Nadra Ukrainy was established in October 2000 to improve the efficiency of state geological exploration enterprises. The state owns 100% of the company.
