Ukrainian energy minister, Turkish ambassador discuss cooperation in nuclear energy, TANAP project
Energy and Coal Industry Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Demchyshyn and Turkish Ambassador to Ukraine Yonet Can Tezel discussed the issues of cooperation in nuclear energy and other branches of power industry, as well as the state of the TANAP project, the government's press service reported.
"The sides expressed mutual interest in holding in the near future sessions of the working group on energy issues, which was set up under the Ukrainian-Turkish Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation and the working group on cooperation in nuclear energy," the statement reads.
As reported, the TANAP pipeline is being created to bring Caspian gas to Europe. Ukraine has already expressed its interest in joining the project.
