Kyivstar makes tender guarantees for participation in 3G tender

JSC Kyivstar has made tender guarantees for its participation in a tender for a license to provide UMTS (3G) communications services, the operator’s press service has announced.

"The company has made tender guarantees in the amount of 10% of the starting price of each lot for taking part in the tender for 3G frequencies," reads the statement.

Three key market players, namely Kyivstar, MTS Ukraine and Astelit, will participate in the tender for the 3G license.

Three lots of 30 MHz in each region were auctioned. Their starting price of one license will be UAH 2.7 billion. Licenses will be issued for a period of 15 years.
