EU not yet considering blocking Russia's access to SWIFT
EU agencies are not considering the possibility of blocking Russia's access to the SWIFT worldwide interbank financial telecommunication system, a senior European official told reporters on Wednesday on the condition of anonymity.
He said EU agencies were not considering that option for now and asked the media to stop asking him to speculate on that subject. The media asked whether a failure of the Minsk talks and further escalation of tensions in eastern Ukraine could bring about that decision.
