Ukraine to start consultations with creditors after reaching agreement with IMF, says Finance Ministry
Ukraine plans to commence consultations with holders of its sovereign bonds to improve the country's medium-term debt stability in March, after achieving an agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Finance Ministry’s press service has told Interfax-Ukraine, referring to Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko.
"Ukraine will start holding consultations with all the holders of its sovereign bonds when the country achieves an agreement with the IMF. I hope that the consultations with creditors will start in March," the press service reported, citing the minister.
Ukraine asked the IMF to replace the Stand-By Arrangement (SBA) with the four-year Extended Fund Facility (EFF) in January. Jaresko previously said that the consultations will be held with all creditors, including Russia.
The results of the IMF mission on the EFF could be announced by the end of this week.
