Industrial prices in Ukraine in Jan up by 2.3% - statistics
Industrial prices in Ukraine after stability in December have started growing again, rising for the first month of the new year by 2.3%, the State Statistics Service has said.
According to its data, in annual terms (compared to the same month last year) the growth of prices accelerated to 34.1% from 31.8% in 2014.
As reported, industrial prices in Ukraine in 2013 rose by 1.7% compared to 0.3% in 2012.
In January 2015, prices in mining and quarrying sectors increased by 0.4%. In particular, those for the extraction of stone, sand and clay grew by 2.7%, coal - by 1.1%. At the same time, prices in metal ore production decreased by 0.4%, natural gas - by 0.3%.
Prices in processing industry increased by 2.2%, in particular in production of coke - by 4.9%, rubber and plastic products, other non-metallic mineral products - by 3.2%, computers, electronic and optical products - by 3.1%, electrical equipment - by 2.8% chemicals - 2.5%, basic pharmaceutical goods - 2.3%. At the same time, prices for fuel production fell by 4.1%.
