Agrarian Fund contracts 780,000 t of grain from 2015 harvest
PJSC Agrarian Fund in September-December 2014 signed forward contracts with farmers for the supply of 780,000 tonnes of grain of the 2015 harvest.
"The grain forward campaign of 2015 began in September, which is a month earlier than the previous one. In September-December 2014 farmers planned to sell 820,000 tonnes of grain of the future yield. Forward agreements were signed for the supply of 780,000 tonnes worth UAH 1.347 billion of advance payment. Contracts for the supply of winter crops as of the end of the calendar year compared to the year of 2014 was increased by 2.7 times," reads a press release from the fund.
Farmers have been made advance payments for a total of UAH 880 million under these contracts.
The report also provides data on the implementation of the forward program for 2014: 850,000 tonnes of grain were supplied to state reserves. Advance payments amounted to UAH 1.180 billion, the final payment for grain amounted to UAH 590 million.
