SGM named sole contractor for construction of bridge to Crimea

LLC Stroygazmontazh (SGM) has been appointed the sole contractor for the design and construction of the bridge across Kerch Strait to Crimea, according to a Russian government order published on the Cabinet's website.

"This signed order designates LLC Stroygazmontazh as the sole contractor for work on the design and construction of the transport crossing across Kerch Strait," the document states.

The order was drafted by the Transport Ministry in line with an order issued by the Russian president on April 18, 2014 "on the implementation of measures aimed at the construction of a transport crossing across Kerch Strait."

The project must be completed "no later than December 2018," the order states.
